The Departure Hall is located at Level 3 of Main Terminal Building at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2 (klia2). The Arrival Hall is located at the same Main Terminal Building but on Level 2 of the same building.

This big Departure Hall accommodates most importantly the check-in and luggage drop counters, entrance to the immigration counters, customs counters, and security check counters for Domestic or International Departures.
Also, you can find various food & beverage shops, waiting area, public concourse, and giant flight display monitor at the Departure Hall.

After passing through the Gateway@klia2 mall, you will be entering the public concourse of the Departure Hall located at Level 3 of the Main Terminal Building.

The Departure Hall is connected to Level 3 of the Gateway@klia2 mall.

Before entering the klia2 Main Terminal Building, a designated zone at the left and right wing outside of the Departure Hall is allocated as Smoking Zone.
Overview of Departure Hall
Upon entering the public concourse, you will be greeted with a big giant overhead monitor displaying most recent flight status and the information counter for any inquiry you may have.

A sizable customer service counter is available at the Departure Hall to answer any inquiry you may have.

At the public concourse, there are 4 islands with a total of 128 Common User Passenger Processing System (CUPPS) check-in counters, identified by alphabets S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z.
There are also 55 self-service check-in kiosks and lots of seating areas.

The check-in and luggage drop counters are divided into 8 rows located in 4 islands, each row identified by the letters S – Z.

Effective from March 15, 2018, the travellers departing from klia2 will start using the newly-installed Self-Bag Drop (SBD) facilities.

The check-in counters will be opened three hours before scheduled departure time, and will be closed one hour before scheduled departure time.

Domestic Departures: The entrance for Domestic Departures at Pier J / Pier K is located at the left side the Departure Hall.


International Departures: Walking toward the end of the concourse, you will see the main entrance for International Departures at Pier L / Pier P / Pier Q.


Shops and services
If you enjoy shopping and dining, the public concourse at the Departure Hall accommodate many food & beverage outlets for your enjoyment.

Also, there are other convenience and specialty shops for you shopping pleasure.

In the event if you need any assistance, you may approach the customer service counter located at the center of the Departure Hall and the friendly customer service assistants stand ready to assist.
