The Flight Transfer facility at the klia2 airport allows you to conveniently transfer from one flight to another without the hassle of going through immigration processing, and of having to collect your baggage when you are taking 2 different flights to get to your final destination and stopping over at klia2.

If you have scheduled a flight transfer at klia2 using AirAsia’s Fly-Thru service, check your flight status at the flight information display monitors to confirm the departure gate and time of your next connecting flight after you landed at klia2.
To board your next flight, proceed to your designated Transfer Hall to collect the boarding pass (if it was not given at the point of origin), then go to the boarding gates.

Go to Transfer Hall at klia2 Terminal
There are 2 Transfer Halls at the klia2 airport and they are located at 2 different locations. One is located at near Pier L, Main Terminal Building and another at Satellite building.


- International to Internationl Transfer – From Pier P / Q to Pier L
- International to Domestic Transfer – From Pier P / Q to Pier J / K
- Domestic to International Transfer – From Pier J / K to Pier L
- Domestic to Domestic Transfer – From Pier J / K to Pier J / K

- International to Internationl Transfer – Pier L / P / Q to Pier P / Q
- Domestic to International Transfer – Pier J / K to Pier P / Q
Transfer Hall at Satellite building
For passengers who need a transfer to International Flight at Pier P or Pier Q , the Transfer Hall is located at Level 2 of the Satellite building.
Passengers are advised to observe the overhead signboard for directions to the Transfer Hall.
Transfer Hall near Pier L, Main Terminal Building
For passengers who need a transfer to International Flight at Pier L or a transfer to Domestic Flight at Pier J or Pier K, the Transfer Hall is located at Level 2 of the Satellite building.
Once you are landed at the at your designated gate, follow the overhead signboard to go to the designated Transfer Hall.
Collect Boarding Pass
Please ensure that you have a boarding pass for your next connecting flight.
If you have not been issued a boarding pass for the transfer flight, proceed to the Transfer Counter located at either the Satellite building or Main Terminal Building (depending on your next connecting flight) to collect the boarding pass:

If you have scheduled a flight transfer at the klia2, please allow sufficient time between flights as there will be some long walking involved and additional security check before the boarding gates.

Depart from Different Airport Terminal
If your next connecting flight is not departing from klia2 airport, you need to have valid transit visa to exit klia2 airport and go to your next airport terminal.
Please allow a minimum of 4 hours for your layover as you will need time to collect your luggage, go through Customs and Immigration checks and then head to the next terminal. Take note that Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is not the same terminal as the klia2 airport.
If you have a connecting flight at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), you can proceed to the Transfer Hall to reserve a free shuttle transfer between klia2 and KLIA.
