The Departure Hall is located at Level 3 of Main Terminal Building at the Malaysia Airport KLIA2.

It accommodates check in counters, immigration counters, customs counters, food & services shop and waiting area before your pass the check points for Domestic or International Departures.

After passing through the Gateway@KLIA2 mall, you will be entering the public concourse of the Departure Hall located at Level 3 of the Main Terminal Building.

Upon entering the public concourse, you will be greeted with a big giant overhead monitor displaying latest flight status and the information counter.

At the public concourse, there are 4 islands with a total of 128 Common User Passenger Processing System (CUPPS) check-in counters, identified by alphabets S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z. There are also 55 self-service check-in kiosks and lots of seating areas.

Walking toward the end of the concourse, and you will see the check points for International Departures.

Passenger Flow for Guests Departing from KLIA2

The departure process from KLIA2 airport can be summarized into these 3 easy steps, firstly completing a self check-in (through web check-in, mobile check-in, or kiosk check-in), follow by depositing your luggage (if any), and lastly boarding your flight at the corresponding departure gates after clearing the immigration and customs check points.

Domestic Departures: Passenger Flow to Pier J / Pier K

To board your flight for Domestic Departures (after self check-in and luggage drop), you will enter the entrance for the Domestic Departures at the left side of the Departure Hall. Then just walk down to Level 2 / Level 1A to get to Pier J / Pier K for your boarding gate.

International Departures: Passenger Flow to Pier L / P / Q

To board your flight for International Departures (after self check-in and luggage drop), you will enter the entrance for the International Departures at the Departure Hall. Pass through the Immigrations and customs check counters and turn right before the Skybridge if your are boarding at Pier L.

International Departures: Passenger Flow to Pier L, Pier P, Pier Q

International Gates:

If your boarding gate is located at Pier P or Pier Q, then continue walking to cross the Skybridge. After crossing the Skybridge, walk down to Level 2 to get to Satellite Building and then go to corresponding pier for boarding.

Due to the mega size of the KLIA2 terminal, the passengers are advised to plan and prepare sufficient time for checking in and walking to the boarding gates. The following is the estimated duration prepared by AirAsia.
