The public has been invited to visit Kuala Lumpur International Airport2 (klia2) to experience the world's largest purpose-built low cost carrier terminal.

Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) chairman Tan Sri Dr Wan Abdul Aziz Wan Abdullah, said apart from temporary free parking at klia2, MAHB guides would show visitors the Skybridge up close, offer a view of the airside terminal and other services at klia2.
"Visitors will also have bus tours to the new Runway 3 (third runway), visit the domestic and international terminals and experience the actual departure and arrival processes at the new terminal with mock boarding passes issued to visitors during registration as a souvenir," he said before launching the klia2 Open Day here on Sunday.
The klia2 Open Day begins Sunday and ends when the new airport opens on May 2.
The AirAsia Group will move all operations to the new airport from the existing Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) here on May 9.
Wan Aziz said klia2 made history by becoming the first airport in Asia and third in the world to have a skybridge and the first in the region to have a third runway.
The new airport can accommodate up to 45 million passengers a year.
It will have 6,000 covered parking lots at Blocks A and B and another 5,500 lots at car park D.
Shuttle buses will be available to take the public from the car park D to the terminal. Bus services linking the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), the existing LCCT and klia2 will operate every half an hour starting from 9am until 5pm to bring visitors on the open days. – Bernama
