Liow explained that the airport’s construction cost RM4 billion and it was constantly monitored by his ministry to ensure safety standards were maintained at all times.
“There has never been any sunken land or erosion at Runway 3 of klia2.
“MAHB constantly monitors the condition of the runways to ensure the safety of flights,” Liow explained further.
Meanwhile, MAHB posted their response to the recent video of the flood at klia2 shared by Pua, on their official Twitter account yesterday.
“As has been reported earlier, klia2 is expected to face some differential settlement. We have commissioned scheduled works to address this known item continuously.
“The picture shows the contractor’s workers removing water from a specific area after heavy rain to enable re-surfacing works, to prevent further water ponding at that area,” they wrote, sharing images of workers conducting the clean-up that was also seen in the video.
