Did you know RapidKL has an airport shuttle bus service that transports passengers to and from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and klia2 from any LRT, MRT or monorail station?
The shuttle service started ferrying passengers from February this year but it seems, not many are aware that the service is available.
To create awareness, Rapid today organised a launch event officiated by Transport Minister Anthony Loke.
At the event, he said, “we decided to have a launch today because the public isn’t aware of these services despite it beginning February 1 this year.”
The shuttle service costs RM10 for a one-way combo ticket, which includes a ride from any LRT, MRT, Monorail or BRT station to the Putra Heights LRT station.
From there, passengers can get aboard the Jetbus shuttle buses to either KLIA or klia2, with the journey expected to take around 30-40 minutes with a bus departing every 30 minutes.
The service provides another option for travellers to get to and from the airport while encouraging Malaysians to use public transport.
“At the moment, we’re hitting 100 million passengers per year at both airport terminals and there is a need to improve and add services to these airports.
“Putra Heights LRT was chosen because it connects to both the Ampang and Kelana Jaya LRT lines.”

Jetbus from Putra Heights LRT station to KLIA / klia2
Starting from 1st Feburary 2019, the Jetbus will provide a one-way journey from the Putra Heights LRT station to KLIA and klia2 at RM4 per ride, with a bus departing every 60 to 90 minutes.
