MCA Youth chief Datuk Chong Sin Woon who is making his election debut wasted no time in kicking off his campaign trail to win Seremban for Barisan Nasional.

He made an early morning stop at the d’Tempat Country Club to flag off Harmony Run and then rushed to have breakfast with constituents at Taman Dusun Nyiur before he greeted people at the Desa Rhu market where greens were sold cheaper under the state government Jualan Sentuhan Rakyat initiative.
Despite having at least 10 programmes throughout the day, Chong also found time in between to launch his 12-point manifesto for Seremban at his operations centre.
“Seremban has been under the Opposition for the past two terms but we never get to see their five year plans for constituents.
“I will set up an e-sport centre, conduct expos to provide employment opportunities for the youth so they can work and live here, set up a cultural centre for all races to be known as the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Centre and help transform old buildings which were vacant to help generate the local economy,” he said.
Chong also pledged to get more youth involved in the 30-year Malaysia Vision Valley (MVV) project so they can market their products internationally.
The MVV project straddles the districts of Seremban-Nilai-Port Dickson and connect them to the Digital Free Trade Zone located near klia2.
“I will also help to bring high speed Internet to Seremban, help families interested to venture into modern farming, ensure more frequent rail and public bus services for greater connectivity, promote tourism, and look into the well-being of single mothers and the orang asli.
“This is not just empty talk. Give me the mandate and I will see that my pledges are delivered,” Chong said as he politely excused himself for yet another engagement in Sikamat.
