Malaysia Airports unveiled its 25th Anniversary Shopping Campaign, with total prizes worth over RM2.5m ($586,276) earlier this afternoon at Kuala Lumpur International airport (KLIA).

The announcement marked the start of many offerings available at its airports in conjunction with the company’s silver jubilee celebration. The 25th Anniversary Shopping Campaign is available at all international airports including KLIA and klia2, Penang, Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu, and Kuching.
Malaysia Airports managing director Datuk Badlisham Ghazali said: “We owe much of our success to our passengers. Recognising this, we are pleased to reward our airport users through our annual shopping campaign. This campaign is aimed at giving travellers and visitors the opportunity to further discover the many options available at our airports and at the same time be handsomely rewarded for their spending.”
With a minimum spend of RM250 at any participating outlets, customers will stand a chance to win one of many prizes. Among others, Malaysia Airports will be giving away monthly prizes in the form of return tickets to selected destinations.
First Prize winners will enjoy Mastercard travel experiences to London and Paris on business class flights while the surprise Grand Prize will be revealed on June 1. Prizes are sponsored by partner airlines Malaysia Airlines, Malindo Air and AirAsia. Mastercard is the official card for the shopping campaign. Customers who make purchases using their Mastercard card will double their chances of winning.
Mastercard country manager Malaysia and Brunei Perry Ong commented: “We are delighted to collaborate with Malaysia Airports to continually offer exciting rewards through this campaign for our cardholders to embark on a unique experience as they shop and travel.

Badlisham added that this anniversary shopping campaign is also a gesture of appreciation o its concessionaires who have helped fulfil their mission of ensuring a joyful experience for airport visitors.
Efforts in increasing retail spend at the airports has resulted in sales increasing 56% over the last five years with over RM2.1bn spent last year alone.
According to Malaysia Airports, it will continue striving to create great experiences for travellers by providing better dining and shopping experience at all its airports.
Malaysia Airports also said it had widened its range of retail and food outlets especially at its international airports and at the same time continued to embrace technology and innovation for a more enhanced and joyful shopping experience.
