Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai says it is the responsibility of Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd to answer the Public Accounts Committee on klia2's shortcomings.
Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) is in the midst of preparing answers to issues raised by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on matters related to the construction of klia2.
“We accept with an open heart… We are now examining every issue voiced out by PAC and promise to answer them because they are related,” said MAHB managing director Datuk Mohd Badlisham Ghazali.
“We don’t know when, but we will try to respond to PAC as soon as possible,” he told reporters after accompanying Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai on a visit to klia2 here today.
He said the sinking issue at klia2 had not disrupted airport operations and repair works had been going on since June this year.
Meanwhile, Liow said it was the responsibility of MAHB to answer issues raised by PAC in a transparent manner.
“All issues should be answered by MAHB, which also involves the sinking issue at the apron area.”
He said the additional cost of repairs had not been obtained by his ministry as work is still going on.
