Malaysia Airport Holdings Bhd (MAHB) expects between 10,000 and 20,000 people to turn up at the new low-cost carrier terminal, klia2, when it opens for public viewing on April 27.
MAHB operations services senior general manager Datuk Azmi Murad said the targeted visitor volume was based on the number of people who turned for the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)'s opening in 1998.

"On April 27, we will allow the public to walk around the airport terminal, to get a real feel of both the domestic and international departure and arrival processes at the new airport," he told Bernama today.
He said MAHB would also shuttle visitors to the airport apron where aircraft would be parked, arrive, depart and are refuelled, to add to their experience at the new facility.
The shopping area within the airport, Getaway@klia2, will see 70 per cent of the retail outlets opening for business on April 27.
"Of the 245 shops, 70 per cent would deal with food and beverages, and they will start operations the same day. The rest will open on May 2," Azmi said.
Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Abdul Aziz Kaprawi had said recently that the RM4 billion klia2, dubbed the world's largest purpose-built low-cost carrier facility, was on track for opening on May 2.– Bernama
