For the first time, transit passengers in klia2 can grab a few hours of shut-eye on a bed instead of lounging in the public areas.
The Capsule by Container Hotel offers 79 capsule bedrooms to those checking in for three, six, or 12 hours – at RM45, RM70 and RM90 respectively.

Apart from the bed, the price includes the use of a locker, shower, lounge access and free Wi-Fi.
“Travelling is fun but without proper facilities to support the journey, the whole experience can easily turn into a frustrating affair,” said ZU Container Sdn Bhd chief executive director Ryan Loo.
“This is especially so when travellers are on transit and have to wait long for the next flight,” he said.
“That’s where Capsule comes in. It is designed to provide flexible, high quality and affordable accommodation for travellers to refresh and recharge on-the-go.”
For travellers who may not need to rent a room, other services at the capsule hotel are also available at a la carte rates, such as a shower at RM15 or locker rental at RM20 per day.
The 3,300 square-foot hotel is located on the first level of the Gateway klia2 shopping complex. More information may be obtained at www.capsulecontainer.com.
“Capsule hotels around the world have received a great amount of response due to the idea of fully utilising available space around us,” said ZU Container chief design officer Vincent Tan.
