Low-cost carrier MYAirline is introducing its first ever international route to Bangkok, Thailand from Kuala Lumpur starting June this year.
Ticket sales begin tomorrow, 10 May!
The airline announced the news on its Facebook page today, 9 May.
“The news is out — we’re flying to Bangkok! Get ready for daily flights to both Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) and Don Mueang International Airport (DMK),” it said.
A source said that MYAirline would begin with one flight daily on its Airbus A320 aircraft, before it is increased to twice daily or more
As stated, the airline will be servicing both of Bangkok’s international airports, and depart from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 2.
According to New Straits Times, the first MYAirline Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok flight would commence on 28 June, while ticket sales start on Wednesday, 10 May.
Thailand is the budget carrier’s first international destination after less than a year of operations in Malaysia.
Currently, it only flies to Penang, Langkawi, Kota Bharu, Kuching, Miri, Sibu, Kota Kinabalu, and Tawau from Kuala Lumpur.
Following the launch in Thailand, the airline is also said to be gearing up for launch in destinations such as Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Cambodia by the end of this year.
MYAirline ticket sales from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok begin at 10am tomorrow.
