Batik Air will launch six weekly flights between Kuala Lumpur and Auckland, New Zealand from August 24.

Operating via Perth, Australia in both directions, the flights will depart Kuala Lumpur at 10.55 and arrive in Auckland at 04.55 the next morning, while return flights will depart Auckland at 07.00 and arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 15.30.
Due to daylight saving time changes in Auckland from September 24, the flights will arrive and depart one hour later.
Batik Air is a rapidly expanding Malaysian-based airline with its main hubs at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1 (KLIA) in Sepang and Subang Skypark Terminal at Subang in Selangor, Malaysia.
Batik Air took to the skies in March 2013 with domestic flights in Malaysia and has since grown to operate routes to all major airports across the continents of Asia, Australia and the Middle East.
The fleet consists of 8 ATR72-600s, 26 B737-8/800 NG aircraft, and 2 A330-300 aircraft. It effectively manages 800 weekly flights across an expanding network of 52 routes within the region.
Batik Air provides a personal television (in-flight entertainment system) in every seat, light snacks and free meals, seat pitches of 32 inches for economy class and 45 inches for business class, and a free baggage allowance of 20 kg for economy class and 30 kg for business class.
