Malaysia Airports has announced 26 year-old Soh Yien Yee as the grand prize winner of klia2’s ‘What’s in Your Bag’ virtual mall promotional contest.
She emerged as the 'Grand Shopper', winning RM25,000 (US$7,740) worth of shopping vouchers to be used at klia2 retail and food & beverage outlets.
Among her purchases were a Macbook Pro laptop, iPad Air, iPhone 5S, HTC One smartphones, bags and luggage, shoes, beauty products, cosmetics and skincare, as well as chocolates and books.
Ms Soh, who is the founder and editor of an online shopping and fashion website ‘A Shopaholic’s Den’, said: “I love shopping. I do a lot of online shopping and the ‘What’s In Your Bag’ game was very similar to shopping online. I played the game out of curiosity – I wanted to find out what klia2 has to offer for an avid shopper like me, and I must say that it exceeded my expectations. I guess I am living up to my reputation as a shopaholic with my win.”
The klia2 ‘What’s in Your Bag’ virtual mall contest was one of many planned celebratory activities organised to mark the launch of klia2’s inaugural ‘Destination Curious’ campaign, which will be held until 7 August.
During the campaign period, travellers at klia2 stand to win discount and cash vouchers and a Grand Prize of a trip for four to Gold Coast, Australia, by participating in the ‘Wonderful Visit to Oz’ contest.
Ms Soh continued: “I recently travelled overseas and had a chance to experience klia2. I love it. It is clean with lots of shopping and food & beverage options ranging from prominent brands to necessities. It is a place where one can enjoy the airport and discover new finds, instead of just waiting to depart somewhere. I can’t wait to pay klia2 another visit. Maybe I will take part in the Wonderful Visit to Oz contest and get lucky again.”
