AmBank Bhd today opened its first airport branch and Bureau de Change (BDC) to provide ease and convenience for travellers and shoppers at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2).
AmBank Group chairman, Tan Sri Azman Hashim, said Gateway@klia2, the first Ambank airport branch, and BDC, were planned to enchance efficiency and provide superior customer experience.
He said there were huge potentials for Ambank to reap profits via this new branch as over 25 million people were expected to pass through klia2 this year.
"The branch provides various banking facilities such as automated teller machines, cash deposit machines, cheque-scanning machine, Internet banking kiosk and the BDC which operates 24 hours, everyday," he told reporters after launching the branch and BDC here today.

Also present were Ambank Group managing director, Ashok Ramamurthy, and the bank's managing director (retail banking), Paul Lewis.
Meanwhile, Lewis said Ambank was expected to open five new branches soon.
He said the bank was now looking at renovating, upgrading or relocating the older branches nationwide, which would be done in phases.
The exercise would cost the bank between between RM800,000 and RM1 milion, he said.– Bernama
