Mudajaya Group Bhd’s subsidiary Mudajaya Corp Bhd has secured a RM65 million contract to build a new Tune Hotel at the new low-cost carrier terminal in Sepang, klia2.
The 400-room budget hotel is expected to be completed by Nov 22, 2013.
The group said in a statement yesterday that it accepted a letter of award from TP Sepang Sdn Bhd, a member of the Tune Group.
"This will be the third Tune Hotel to be built by Mudajaya. The first two are at the current low-cost terminal and in Danga Bay (Johor)," said Mudajaya group managing director and CEO Anto Joseph.
The group has secured four contracts worth RM1.9 billion this year, including the new Tune Hotel contract.
In February, the group secured a RM1 billion contract for civil and structural works for the Tanjung Bin power plant.
In August, it was awarded two projects namely the RM816.2 million Package V3 of the Sungai Buloh-Kajang mass rapid transit line and the RM30 million design and construction of an interchange on Rawang stretch of the North-South Highway.
"Mudajaya has achieved commendable success in securing new construction jobs in 2012 due to our considerable tender book of over RM5 billion, mainly targeting the power plant, highway and building projects.
"With the projects secured, Mudajaya’s order book is now at RM3 billion, which is 2.5 times of our construction division’s revenue of RM1.2 billion in the financial year ended Dec 31 2011," said Anto.
