Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) registered a higher pre-tax profit of RM574.138 million for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2011 against RM474.964 million chalked up in 2010.
The airport operator’s revenue rose 11.6 per cent to RM2.754 billion from RM2.468 billion recorded previously.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, MAHB said the fourth quarter posted a lower pre-tax profit of RM161.902 million against RM182.554 million reported in the same quarter in 2010.
Turnover, however, rose 2.0 per cent to RM837.380 million, during the quarter under review, from RM820.599 million recorded in the corresponding quarter.
MAHB said the improved revenue was attributable to construction revenue of RM314.3 million earned in relation to the construction of klia2 and expansion of the Penang International Airport to the tune of RM820.5 million.
