Nepal Airlines has announced a flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa, from June 12.
The one-way fare from Kuala Lumpur to Bhairahawa would cost Rs12,700. The ticket for Kuala Lumpur – Bhairahawa – Kathmandu is priced at Rs14,720 per person.
The national flag carrier said in a press statement that the one-way fare to Bhairahawa from Kuala Lumpur would cost Rs12,700. The ticket for Kuala Lumpur-Bhairahawa-Kathmandu is priced at Rs14,720 per person.
Ticket bookings for the flight have opened.
Initially, Nepal Airlines plans to operate one flight a week and increase the number of flights based on demand.
The airline said it has a plan to operate a shuttle bus service from Johor Bahru to Kuala Lumpur International Airport in future to facilitate the passengers.
The airline will also launch travel packages to promote tourism in Lumbini–the birthplace of Buddha.
Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1, or KLIA, is Malaysia’s main International airport and one of the major airports in South East Asia. The Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1 (KLIA) is now the largest and busiest airport in Malaysia.
It was officially opened on 27 June 1998.
