Malaysia Airlines resumed its direct flights between Kuala Lumpur (KUL) and Kertajati (KJT), Indonesia on October 30, 2023.
The flight to Kertajati will be operated by the airline’s Boeing 737-800NG aircraft twice weekly.
The first flight took off for KJT from Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1 at 6.25pm local time yesterday.
As part of efforts to ensure seamless end-to-end convenience for its guests, Malaysia Airlines has also started a free shuttle service for travel between Kertajati International Airport to Bandung city, which will be available until December 31, 2023.
Pick-up will be at the Arrival Hall (Kertajati International Airport) at 9.00pm and arrival at Pasteur, Bandung (opposite Aston Hotel) at 10.30pm, whereas shuttle services from Bandung will depart at 5.00pm and arrive at Kertajati International Airport at 6.30pm.
With the resumption of flights to KJT, Malaysia Airlines flies direct to seven cities in Indonesia, including Jakarta, Denpasar, Medan, Yogyakarta, Pekanbaru, and Surabaya.
Kertajati International Airport (IATA: KJT, ICAO: WICA) is an airport in West Java, Indonesia that serves as a second international airport for the Greater Bandung and Cirebon metropolitan areas, as well as parts of the West Java and Central Java provinces.
Now one of the two largest airports in Indonesia by area (along with Soekarno–Hatta International Airport in Jakarta), it is located in Majalengka Regency, approximately 68 kilometres (42 mi) east of Bandung.
