Three MRT stations that were closed since October last year will reopen Thursday (June 16), says Datuk Mohd Zarif Hashim (pic).
The MRT Corp chief executive officer said the three stations that were previously under the MRT Kajang Line would start operating on Thursday under the new MRT Putrajaya Line.
The stations are Kwasa Damansara, Kampung Selamat and Sungai Buloh.
“Commuters at these stations will be able to enjoy the rail service again and even get to travel to more new stations,” he said.
He added that the shuttle bus service consisting of 14 new routes along the first phase of the Putrajaya Line would also start operating Thursday.
Zarif said this in his speech at the MRT Putrajaya Line Phase One launch at Kampung Batu MRT station on Thursday.
With the launch of the first phase, he said that the infrastructure would then be delivered to operator RapidRail Sdn Bhd.
”Azharuddin Mat Sah (RapidRail President and CEO), it gives me great pleasure to hand over the completed Phase One of the MRT Putrajaya Line to Rapid Rail as the operator.
“The baby is now yours to nurture and grow, together with us,” he said.
Also present were Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz, and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Economy) Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, among others.
