3 October 2022
On the 3rd of October 2022, Aergo Capital Limited successfully delivered two Boeing 737-8MAX to Batik Air Malaysia.

The aircraft which carry the manufacture serial numbers 43005 and 43012 are the fourth and the fifth of the eight incoming 737MAX aircraft to the Malaysian carrier and to the Lion Air Group as a whole.
The Irish company has secured a loan facility from AV AirFinance to aid in the purchase, financing and oversight of the acquisition process of these two aircraft respectively.
Fred Browne, Chief Executive Officer of Aergo, commented: “We are delighted to announce the successful delivery of two further Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft to Batik Air Malaysia. We look forward to delivering the remaining three aircraft by the end of this year. A special thanks to everyone involved for the smooth and efficient way these deals are completed”.
Neal McElvaney at AV AirFinance, said: “We are very pleased to have the opportunity to work with Aergo once again and to conclude these fourth and fifth Batik Air transactions. We look forward to closing out one further delivery to conclude this transaction and to continuing to build our relationship with Aergo.”
Rapid Growth
The receiving of the two new aircraft means that the airline is prepping itself for more aggressive growth in Malaysia alone and in the ASEAN region. The border relaxation of Malaysia and other Asian countries allowed the airline to pursue its aircraft expansionary plans with the Boeing 737MAX being tapped as the best contender to do the job.
The airline now flies out of KLIA 1 which is the main premium or non-low-cost terminal of Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia. This will directly compete with the national carrier of Malaysia Airlines.
