THE Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Matta) has revealed AmLeisure Media Sdn Bhd as the media partner for the 51st Matta Fair at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (KL) from Sept 2 to Sept 5, 2022, while Good Journey (Gojo) is the e-hailing transport partner.
During the fair, AmLeisure Media will be providing free e-magazines for visitors to get the latest information on popular tourist attractions, travel packages and vouchers from major travel agencies.
Its founder and MD Datuk Ada Poon said the e-magazines will let visitors make informed travel decisions.
“To ease their movement around the fair, the supplement also contains details on the exhibition floor plan and booth locations for visitor’s reference,” she said at a joint press conference today.
Meanwhile, e-hailing transport company Gojo offers 10% cash back to or from KL International Airport (KLIA) and KLIA2 for all Matta Fair visitors when they use the e-hailing app and book in advance or instant rides with the promo code ‘Matta’.
This offer ends on Sept 30, 2022.
Gojo’s head of business K Mathi is positive that more customers will choose the Gojo app as their preferred e-hailing service with the discounts offered.
“We also offer low fares and there is no cancellation charge as we understand the conditions of our customers’ journey, which are sometimes unpredictable,” he said.
Gojo has some 190,000 users to date.
Matta chairman Sheikh Awadh Sheikh Abdullah said the upcoming Matta Fair is expected to receive more than 20,000 visitors.
“We encourage visitors to use public transport such as the light rail transit and e-hailing services to get their travel information from 529 booths,” he said.
Matta Fair made a return in November 2021 after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
