Express Rail Link (ERL) has announced that it will begin to reduce operational hours starting from 25 March onwards in order to comply to the recent directive by the National Security Council due to the on-going Movement Control Order period.
As you might have heard, the same restriction has also been applied to Rapid KL and KTMB services.
For ERL which operates the direct airport rail service KLIA Ekspres service as well as the commuter rail service KLIA Transit, their new operational hours will be split into two.
The first part of its service takes place from 6 AM to 10AM after which will only continue in the late afternoon from 5 PM to 10 PM.

Both services will be combined into a single service with train frequency of 30 minutes. Hence, the journey from KL Sentral to KLIA will take slightly longer at 35 minutes as opposed to 28 minutes since there will be no direct service until further notice.
As a comparison, the normal operating hours for KLIA Ekspres starts at 5 AM until 1 AM with frequencies of between 15 to 20 minutes. On another hand, KLIA Transit usually operates from 4:33 AM until 1:28 AM with train coming in every 15 to 30 minutes.
