Malaysia Airports would like to inform the public and passengers travelling to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) that there will be a traffic deviation on both sides of KLIA highway at KM10 and KM11 from 28 December 2011 till 30 December 2011. The deviation will be done in phases to facilitate construction works of "launching beam" for klia2 project.
The traffic deviation details are as follows:-
Road Closure/Deviation Towards KL
Date : 28 December 2011 (Wednesday) – 29 December 2011 (Thursday)
Time of Contra Flow : 2300hrs – 0600hrs (11.00 PM till 6.00 AM)
Road Closure/Deviation Towards KLIA terminal
Date : 29 December 2011 (Thursday) – 30 December 2011 (Friday)
Time of Contra Flow : 2300hrs – 0600hrs (11.00 PM till 6.00 AM)
The deviation is minor, nevertheless Malaysia Airports has planned the time period of the deviation during non-peak hours for flights at KLIA, to minimise the impact of the traffic deviation. However, due to the recent heavy downpours, vehicles are advised to slow down when approaching the affected areas.
Passengers who will be travelling on these dates are advised to exercise precaution and adhere to traffic regulations when using the said area during the particular time. Alternative transportation to reach KLIA is available by ERL.
Malaysia Airports would also like to advise all passengers to continue observing proper time management to ensure timely arrival to the airport.
