The extension of the Express Rail Link (ERL) from the KLIA Main Terminal building to the upcoming klia2 airport terminal is expected to be completed in October, Transport Minister Datuk Seri Kong Cho Ha said today.
He said, however, the extension line would only be used after klia2 is fully completed in 2013.
“The RM100-million extension project is 25 per cent complete, and is expected to be ready at the end of October, but will only be opened when klia2 begins operations,” he said after visiting the klia2 project site here.
He said the project would boost the number of passengers travelling on the ERL.
The project would take 15-1/2 months. To date, 37 million people have used the ERL service.
