In conjunction with the Chinese New Year, shoppers and visitors to Paradigm Mall in Kelana Jaya and gateway@klia2, Malaysia’s only shopping mall within an international airport, will be greeted with a sea of glittering and beautiful lanterns from now until March 8.
Embracing the theme of ‘Thousand Lanterns’, the malls are now decorated with magnificently decorated and brightly lit Chinese-style lantern arches as well as an array of colourful lanterns hanging high above the floors. To complete the celebratory ambience, there are also giant Chinese New Year-themed paper decorations throughout the malls.
WCT Malls general manager Vincent Chong said, “Chinese New Year is a time for family and friends to be together for a grand celebration.
“We strive to provide memorable and wholesome experiences for our shoppers by putting together a festive line-up of activities to usher in the Year of the Goat with good fortune and abundance.”
Throughout the festive period, shoppers will be able to enjoy a variety of Chinese New Year-themed performances.
Visitors to Paradigm Mall can look forward to dragon dances, acrobatic lion dances and cultural dances.
For those who prefer immersing themselves in music, there will be performances by a Chinese orchestra as well as heart-thumping multi-drum showcase with 12 season drums and 18 prosperity drums.
The ‘God of Prosperity’ is currently making his rounds so that mall-goers can have their pictures taken with him for good luck.
From Jan 23 until March 8, visitors to both Paradigm Mall and Gateway@klia2 who spend RM88 in a single receipt will be able to redeem a set of unique ang pow packets, a RM3 cash voucher and take part in the Wishing Knob activity where they can write their Chinese New Year wishes and hang them on a Wishing Tree.
RHB cardmembers will be able to enjoy the same privileges by only spending RM38 in a single receipt at Paradigm Mall.
Those who participate in the Wishing Knob activity will have the opportunity to take home one of 30 gifts, totalling RM10,000 including an iPhone 6, an iPhone 6 Plus and cash ang pow.
The Wishing Tree is located at the Boulevard, Level G at Paradigm Mall and at the Concierge Counter on Level 3 at gateway@klia2.
